How do I change the oil on my Porter Cable 4500 watt portable generator. I have lost my manual?

You should oil change once every year or every 25 hours of operation, whichever occurs first. If the engine uses an oil filter, you can run extended Time to 50 hours between oil changes. Type of oil to use depends on where you run the generator. If it is in an unheated shed where the temperature is below freezing Use 5W30 oil droplets stored. If the temperature remains above freezing 10W30 is appropriate. Stay away from cheap oil, but there is really no need for synthetic. Start the engine for a few minutes to drain the oil is warm and easier to use. Remove the drain plug and ensure the top of the engine that you are so much oil to drain as possible. It is unlikely that you have an oil filter, but if it's there, you should change it now. Once the oil is drained put the Plug back in and fill. You must have 1quart or slightly less than 1 liter of oil for the 10-hp engine. Make sure the engine is level and monitors the test strip, how to oil. If there is no test strips, you must complete the filling of oil through the overflow hole.
